Commercial Vacuum Cleaners – Choosing the Right Machine
The commercial dry vacuum range includes a wide variety of machines, making it easy to find the right one if you know what you're looking for. By thinking about your specific cleaning needs, choosing the right vacuum cleaner becomes a straightforward task.
We recommend a simple 2-step process to help you choose the best commercial dry vacuum cleaner for your needs:
Step 1: Specification and Requirements
Each vacuum model has its own purpose and special features. You can usually tell what a vacuum is designed for by its model number. Here’s what to look for:
-
Power Saving: Look for models with NSP, PSP, or PPR in the name (e.g. NSP200, PSP200, PPR200). These include AutoSave technology and have lower power consumption.
-
Compact Design: If you need a smaller machine with a storage caddy for tools, go for the NVP range (e.g. NVP370). Ideal for areas where space is limited.
-
Built-In Trolley: The PPT range (e.g. PPT220) includes a trolley system and a caddy tray for tools, along with all the standard vacuum features and AutoSave.
-
Carpet Cleaning (Turbo Brush): If you clean large carpeted areas, choose a Turbo vacuum with an electric brush tool. These have a "T" at the end of the model number (e.g. NRV200T).
-
Quiet Operation: For noise-sensitive environments like hotels or schools, choose from the NVQ range (e.g. NVQ370). The "Q" stands for quiet.
-
Tough Casing: Vacuums with a StructoFoam casing are more durable. Look for models with “380” in the number (e.g. NVQ380).
-
Backpack Vacuum: In tight or mobile environments like cinemas or airplanes, the RSV range (e.g. RSV200) offers portable, wearable vacuums.
-
General-Purpose Cleaner: If you just need a dependable all-rounder, the NRV range (e.g. NRV200) is ideal. These come with high and low suction modes and are great for general contract cleaning.
Step 2: Choose Your Capacity
The second part of the vacuum model number refers to the machine’s size and capacity:
-
180 (e.g. PSP180) – 8-litre capacity
Shop PSP180 -
200 / 220 (e.g. NRV200) – 9-litre capacity
-
370 / 380 (e.g. PSP370) – 15-litre capacity
Shop PSP370
That's it!
