From next-working-day parcels to larger palletised cleaning machines, here's everything you need to know about how we dispatch and deliver your Avern order.
How will my order be delivered?
The delivery service used depends on whether your items are in stock, ordered from the manufacturer, or too large for a standard parcel carrier.
DPD Next Working Day
In-stock small and medium parcels that do not require palletised delivery are normally dispatched using DPD Next Working Day.
- Order before 3:00pm Monday–Friday
- Same-day dispatch on qualifying in-stock orders
- Tracking details emailed after dispatch
- Estimated delivery: Next Working Day
2–5 Working Days
Products marked as 2–5 working days are ordered from the manufacturer before being dispatched from our warehouse.
- Typical lead time: 2–5 working days
- Many products arrive sooner
- Tracking sent when your order is dispatched
- Call us for faster alternatives where available
Large & Palletised Delivery
Larger cleaning machines and products over approximately 30kg may be delivered using a specialist carrier or pallet network.
- Kerbside or ground-floor delivery
- Suitable vehicle access may be required
- Assistance may be needed for very heavy products
- We may contact you before delivery
Simple delivery pricing
Delivery charges depend on your basket value and the type of products being ordered.
Qualifying orders of £75 ex VAT (£90 inc VAT) or more receive free standard delivery.
£4.79 inc VAT for qualifying orders under £75 ex VAT / £90 inc VAT.
£10.79 inc VAT. Standard shipping may also apply where chemicals are ordered alongside other products.
There is no charge for collecting your completed order from Avern.
If your basket contains both standard next-working-day items and 2–5-working-day products and the qualifying order value is below £75 ex VAT, separate delivery charges may apply.
When should my parcel arrive?
The guide below applies to qualifying in-stock items sent using our DPD Next Working Day service.
Next-working-day delivery does not apply to Northern Ireland, the Scottish Highlands, Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, Channel Islands, Scottish Islands, Alderney or Bank Holidays.
Broom, mop & squeegee handles
Long-handled items cannot always be processed through our standard DPD parcel service.
This includes products such as broom handles, mop handles and squeegee handles. These are normally dispatched using an EVRI next-day service rather than DPD.

Next Working Day Products
Products marked Next Working Day Delivery are normally delivered the following working day when ordered before 3:00pm Monday–Friday, subject to availability and destination.
Need Something Urgently?
If an item does not show a next-day message but you need it urgently, call us on 0800 9788 499. We may be able to recommend an alternative or arrange faster delivery.
Click & Collect
Select collection during checkout where available. We will let you know once your order is ready to collect. Orders are normally prepared within approximately 24 hours.
Tracking Your Order
DPD tracking details are emailed after dispatch. You can also track your parcel directly using the DPD tracking service .
Large & palletised deliveries
Cleaning machines and bulky items over approximately 30kg may need to travel by specialist carrier or pallet network rather than a standard parcel service.
