This range of swarf and coolant vacuum cleaners is specifically targeted at engineering firms who need a vacuum cleaner suitable for removing coolant and wet swarf from machinery.

The smaller swarf vacuums in this range such as the WV470-SC, WV570-SC and WVD900-SC are designed for removal of mineral based coolant and wet swarf from machines and floors. They are ideal for use when coolant needs changing, or for use when coolant and swarf is spilt and needs clearing.

The SSIVD range of swarf vacuum cleaners is capable of all of the above tasks although they offer a few extra abilities that make them very useful in heavier duty engineering applications such as the built in “swarf basket” that collects any swarf that is sucked up with coolant and catches it keeping it separate from the coolant. This allows these swarf vacuums to be used to recycle coolant cleaning it of any swarf, allowing it be returned to the machine to be re-used.

Further features of the SSIVD vacuum cleaners include DH PH and AP variations, these are explained below;

• DH – the SSIVD1800DH includes a dump hose for emptying coolant from the drum.
• PH – The SSIVD1800PH includes an electric pump that is manually controlled for emptying coolant from the machine once it is full. This feature allows the vacuum cleaner to be emptied into elevated receptacles such as back into the machine.
• AP – the SSIVD1800AP has an automated submersible pump that pumps all coolant back out of the machine as the machine is being emptied. This makes it ideal for larger jobs where constant or prolonged operation is required.
